As the project manager and designer of an impactful online and print marketing design project, I brought the BCCLS brand to life through the strategic utilization of three essential programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Illustrator played a crucial role in crafting captivating business card and bookmark designs, while Photoshop enabled seamless image manipulation for both print and digital projects. Additionally, InDesign was utilized to meticulously layout the brochure, resulting in a cohesive and visually appealing brand identity. This project successfully showcased my expertise in marketing design and my ability to create a unified and impactful online and print presence. The BCCLS logo was designed by a third party.

Online Marketing

As the marketing specialist for the Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS), I had the opportunity to create and oversee a range of email marketing campaigns with the goal of boosting both internal and external communications. Utilizing platforms such as Constant Contact and HTML allowed for visually appealing and engaging content to be delivered straight to the inboxes of our patrons and constituents. These campaigns not only served to promote events and services offered by the 78 libraries that make up the BCCLS network, but also to foster a sense of community and interconnectedness among our users. With careful planning and execution, these email marketing efforts proved to be an effective and efficient means of communication for our organization.

Website Redesign Project

As the project manager and designer, I successfully undertook a comprehensive redesign of the BCCLS website. Our objective was to create a user-friendly, visually appealing online resource for the public, including government officials, library trustees, library donors, and BCCLS patrons. By emphasizing a forward-thinking public library system, we aimed to enhance the overall user experience and promote collaboration.

To achieve our goals, we utilized WordPress as the content management system, ensuring seamless content management and quick information dissemination. Our strategic approach prioritized mobile device access and usability, ensuring that users can connect with member libraries and access shared resources from any device.

The website’s design was meticulously crafted, showcasing call-to-action buttons and vibrant images. Through a neutral color palette and white backgrounds, we reflected BCCLS branding while maintaining a professional and user-centric visual hierarchy. Our navigation design made it effortless for visitors to navigate the site, and the introduction of a new search bar streamlined information retrieval, resulting in increased efficiency.

The redesigned BCCLS website now represents the organization’s commitment to cost-effective resource sharing and collaboration. Serving as an invaluable resource, it provides essential updates to the public and stakeholders concerning their library privileges. With an emphasis on user convenience and delivering an inviting user experience, our redesign consistently leaves a positive impression on visitors.
